Originally from Sheridan, WY, Alycia attended the School of Music at Western Michigan University on a jazz scholarship after being recruited by Professor Sunny Wilkinson. The school presented many opportunities for Alycia, including participation for three years in the renowned vocal jazz group Gold Company. She was privileged to travel the country with the group, including trips to New York City to perform in Carnegie Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Alycia has shared the stage and performed with jazz artists such as Fred Hersch, Bobby McFerrin, Jamie Haddad, Billy Hart, Sunny Wilkinson, and Janis Segal. She has also contributed to the albums “All I Need” with Brian Fraaza and “Parallels” with Drew Raklovits.

In 2010, Alycia was asked to write for and join Ryan Andrews on his CD “Requiem.” She debuted her own CD “If It Wasn’t For You” in 2011, and in 2013 she released a funky line up of jazz standards on her album “Alycia Vince, Live at the Carriage House”.

After moving back west upon the completion of regional midwest tours, she set off to the Western Slope of Colorado to work as the Symphony Manager for the Grand Junction Symphony, as well as set up her own creative event planning.

In Colorado and Wyoming, she became the welcoming host to professional musicians, igniting creativity and inspiring local youth to explore the musical path she herself was fortunate enough to have been led. Fabulous musicians join her for performances and education series, including world-acclaimed musicians Keith Hall, Phil Polombi, Matthew Fries, Jeff Troxel, Members of Stray Grass, Ryan Andrews, Brian Blowers, Sam Weber, Logan Thomas, and Aubrey Johnson.

Now based in Michigan, she performs nation-wide, delightfully collecting sounds and music for special events, weddings, and celebrations. She is a caliber musician like few others, able to stretch into the worlds of classical, jazz, and bluegrass, designing the life of sound for any event.
